‘Kaala’ – Breaking The Stereotypes!
I haven’t watched it, yet writing to share the wonderful thing I am
feeling after seeing our friends being so happy after watching ‘Kaala’.

It’s amazing to see that they are not only watching it but are on the
edge to share as many images which show our culture. And, Why not? It
hardly happens when these 75 mins show our Basti, our Buddha Vihar, Our
mohallas with images of Babasaheb etc.
So, it seems that this time, all of our gang has received super-power
from the screen. They are too powerful to keep this power within
themselves. So, it is indeed, very empowering to see them sharing this
power among each other.

All
credits go to ‘Kaala’, for ‘Kaala’ is firm to break their inferiority
complex. Particularly, in a society where all the means of production of
popular culture are in the hands of prejudiced ‘Savarna’ folks, we
never see such symbols like that in ‘Kaala’ in popular culture. In
fact, these ‘Savarna’ picture-walas never leave any stone unturned to
project ‘Bahujans’ as utterly filthy, degraded and inferior beings. Such
a demeaning projection of our lives through cinema has always resulted
in the lowly self-confidence and wounded self-esteem.

But now
Dhammachakra is definitely turning. This is a time of transformation. In
such a crucial phase, ‘Kaala’ contributes a momentum by not only
breaking the inferiority complex of ‘Bahujans’, but also by providing a
‘jabardast’ confidence to their fighter spirits. In fact, this feeling
of confidence which I sense, increases with every added picture of our
symbol exhibited in the popular culture

So, guys, I will
definitely watch it after this weekend. Until then, Let’s keep breaking
this age-long Inferiority Complex, let’s keep sharing our Super Culture,
Let’s keep sharing our Power, Let’s keep on becoming more Confident and
let’s keep sharing our ‘Kaala’.

Jai Bhim!

Awakeness Practices

All 84,000 Khandas As Found in the Pali Suttas

Traditionally the are 84,000 Dharma Doors - 84,000 ways to get

Awakeness. Maybe so; certainly the Buddha taught a large number of
practices that lead to Awakeness. This web page attempts to catalogue
those found in the Pali Suttas (DN, MN, SN, AN, Ud & Sn 1). There
are 3 sections:

The discourses of Buddha are divided into 84,000, as to separate

addresses. The division includes all that was spoken by Buddha.”I
received from Buddha,” said Ananda, “82,000 Khandas, and  from the
priests 2000; these are 84,000 Khandas maintained by me.” They are
divided into 275,250, as to the stanzas of the original text, and into
361,550, as to the stanzas of the commentary. All the discourses
including both those of
Buddha and those of the commentator, are divided  into 2,547 banawaras,
containing 737,000 stanzas, and 29,368,000 separate letters.
