ஸ்வான்ஸ் தங்கள் ஏரியை விட்டு வெளியேறுவதைப் போல, கவனமுள்ளவர்கள் தங்களைத் தாங்களே முயற்சி செய்கிறார்கள், எந்த உறைவிடத்திலும் அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவதில்லை.

ஒருவர் கேட்கிறார், பிறகு அமைதி அடைகிறார்.
ஒரு பயனுள்ள வசனம் ஆயிரம் பயனற்ற வசனங்களை விட சிறந்தது
ஆயிரம் வசனங்கள் அர்த்தமற்ற வரிகளால் ஆனது
ஒருவர் கேட்கும் வசனத்தின் ஒற்றை வரி சிறப்பாக இருக்கும், பிறகு அமைதியாகிவிடும்.
ஒரு தம்மம்-வார்த்தை உன்னதமானது
அர்த்தமற்ற வரிகளால் ஆன ஆயிரம் வசனங்கள் பாடினாலும்,
ஒருவர் கேட்கும் ஒரே ஒரு தம்ம வரி சிறப்பாக இருக்கும், பிறகு அமைதியாகிவிடும்.
சுய வெற்றியே மிக உயர்ந்த வெற்றி
போரில் ஆயிரம் முறை ஆயிரம் வெற்றி பெற்றாலும், தன்னைத்தானே வெல்ல வேண்டும்
ஒருவர் மிகப்பெரிய வெற்றியாளர்.
தன் மீதான வெற்றி சமமற்றது
மற்றவர்களை அடிபணிய வைப்பதை விட, தன்னைத்தானே வெல்வது பெரியது, எப்போதும் தன்னடக்கத்துடன் இருப்பவன்,
தன்னை அடக்கிக் கொண்டவர்.
சுயத்தின் மீதான வெற்றியை ரத்து செய்ய முடியாது
தேவாவோ, தெய்வீக சக்தியோ, மாராவோ பிரம்மாவுடன் சேர்ந்து வெற்றியை வீழ்த்த முடியாது.

மிகப் பெரிய பிரசாதம்
மாதம் மாதம் நூறு ஆண்டுகள் ஆயிரம் பேர் தியாகம் செய்யலாம்.
ஆனால் ஒரு கணம் மட்டுமே சுயமாக வளர்ந்தவர்களை மதிக்க முடியும் என்றால், அத்தகைய மரியாதை ஒரு நூற்றாண்டு தியாகத்தை விட சிறப்பாக இருந்தது.

அராஹத்கள் எங்கிருந்தாலும் பிரகாசிக்கிறார்கள்
எனவே குப்பைகள் மத்தியில்,
சாதாரண மனிதர்கள் பார்வையற்றவர்களாக மாறுகிறார்கள், சரியான புத்தரின் மாணவர் ஞானத்தால் பிரகாசமாக இருக்கிறார்.
புத்திசாலிகளிடமிருந்து லாபம்
சுருக்கமாக ஒரு புத்திசாலி என்றாலும்
அறிவாளிகளுக்காக காத்திருக்கலாம்,
சீக்கிரம் தம்மம் அவன் நாக்கால் சூப்பின் சுவையை உணர முடியும்.
நல்ல செயல்களின் மூலம் மகிழ்ச்சி கிடைக்கும்
ஆனால் அந்த கம்மாவை நன்றாக உருவாக்கியது
இது எந்த வருத்தத்தையும் தராது, அதன் முடிவை ஒருவர் மகிழ்ச்சியான மனதுடன் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் உணர்கிறார்.
விடுதலைக்கான பாதை
ஒன்று உலக ஆதாயத்திற்கான வழி, இன்னொன்று நிப்பாணம். இதைத் தெளிவாகப் புரிந்துகொண்ட பிக்கு, புத்தரைப் பின்பற்றுபவர், தனிமையில் சரணடைவதற்குப் பதிலாக, கொடுக்கப்பட்ட பரிசுகளில் மூழ்கிவிடக்கூடாது.
புத்திசாலிகளின் அறிவுரையை பொக்கிஷமாக வைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்
தவறுகளைச் சுட்டிக் காட்டி, கடிந்துகொள்ளும், மறைந்திருக்கும் பொக்கிஷத்தை அப்பட்டமாகப் போடும் ஞானமுள்ள ஒருவனை, அத்தகைய ஞானியை ஒருவன் சந்திக்க வேண்டுமானால், அத்தகைய ஞானியை ஒருவன் துணையாகச் செய்ய வேண்டும். அவ்வாறு இணைவது செழுமையடைவதே தவிர ஒருபோதும் வீழ்ச்சியடையாது.
நல்லொழுக்கமுள்ளவர்கள் நல்ல அறிவுரைகளை மதிக்கிறார்கள்
அவர் உபதேசிக்கட்டும், அறிவுறுத்தட்டும், ஒருவரை இழிவுபடுத்தாமல் சரிபார்க்கட்டும். உண்மையாகவே அவர் உண்மைக்கு அன்பானவர், அவர் பொய்க்கு அன்பானவர் அல்ல.
நல்லொழுக்கமுள்ள நிறுவனத்தில்
தீய நண்பர்களுடன் சுற்றித் திரியாதீர்கள், முரடர்களுடன் அலையாதீர்கள். உன்னத நண்பர்களுடன் நேரத்தை செலவிடுங்கள், தகுதியானவர்கள் துணையாக இருங்கள்.
தர்மத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சியாக வாழ்வது
தெளிவாகவும் குளிர்ச்சியாகவும் உள்ள இதயத்துடன் தம்மம் அருந்துபவர் மகிழ்ச்சியானவர். மிகவும் புத்திசாலியான ஒருவன் உன்னதத்தால் அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட தர்மத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறான்.
புத்திசாலித்தனமான கட்டுப்பாடு தங்களை
நீர்ப்பாசனம் நீரைக் கட்டுப்படுத்துகிறது,
fletchers ஃபேஷன் தண்டுகள்,
இணைப்பாளர்கள் தங்கள் மரத்தை வடிவமைக்கும்போது
புத்திசாலிகள் தங்களை அடக்கிக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.
புத்திசாலிகள் உறுதியானவர்கள்
வலிமையான பாறாங்கல் போல
காற்றினால் அசைவதில்லை,
அதனால் ஞானிகள் அசைவதில்லை
பாராட்டு அல்லது பழி மூலம்.
வைஸ் ஆர் ஹேப்பி
ஆழமற்ற ஏரியாக இருந்தாலும்,
மிகவும் அமைதியான மற்றும் தெளிவான ஏரி,
அதனால் தர்மங்கள் கேட்டன
அமைதியான ஞானிகள் ஆக.
ஞானிகள் அமைதியானவர்கள்
நல்லவர்கள் துறக்கும் அனைத்தும், அமைதியான உரையாடல் மகிழ்ச்சியைத் தராது, இன்பமோ துன்பமோ மகிழ்ச்சியோ துன்பமோ ஞானிகளுக்குத் தெரியாது.
ஞானிகள் சரியாக வாழ்கிறார்கள்
ஒருவன் தன் சொந்தத்திற்காகவோ, மற்றவருக்காகவோ குழந்தைகளையோ, செல்வத்தையோ, சொத்துக்களையோ, வெற்றியையோ விரும்பி அநியாயமாக விரும்பக் கூடாது, அப்படியானால் நல்லொழுக்கமும், ஞானமும் உள்ளவன், நீதியுள்ளவனாக இருப்பான்.
ஒரு சிலர் மறு கரையை அடைகின்றனர்
மக்கள் மத்தியில் அவர்கள் மிகக் குறைவு
அடுத்த கரைக்கு செல்பவர்கள்,
மனித இனத்தில் அதிகம்
இந்த கரையில் விரையுங்கள்.
தர்மத்தைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்கள் விடுதலை பெறுகிறார்கள்
ஆனால், தர்மத்தின்படி தர்மத்தை கடைப்பிடிப்பவர்கள், மரணத்தின் களத்தில் இருந்து வெளியேறுவது கடினம்.
ஒழுக்கம் மூலம் விடுதலை
இருண்ட தம்மைக் கைவிட்டு, புத்திசாலிகள் பிரகாசத்தை வளர்த்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும், வீட்டிலிருந்து வீடற்றவர் வரை தனிமையில் அமைதியற்றவர்.
உங்கள் மனதை தூய்மைப்படுத்துங்கள்
இன்பங்களைத் துறந்து அரிய மகிழ்ச்சியை அவர்கள் விரும்பட்டும், அந்த ஞானிகள் மனதின் எல்லா அசுத்தங்களிலிருந்தும் தங்களைத் தூய்மைப்படுத்திக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
அராஹத்துகள் உலகத்தன்மைக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டவர்கள்
மனதை முழுவதுமாக வளர்த்து, மகிழ்ந்து, பற்றுதலைத் துறந்து, பற்றுக் கொள்ளாமல் விழிப்புக்கு வருபவர்கள், இவ்வுலகில் மாசு இல்லாத, பிரகாசமாக, நிப்பாணத்தை அடைகிறார்கள்.

Though briefly one intelligent
might wait upon the wise,
quickly Dhamma he can sense as tongue the taste of soup.

But well-made is that kamma
which done brings no remorse, of which one senses the result with glad mind and with joy.
Path To Liberation
One is the way to worldly gain, another to Nibbana goes. Clearly comprehending this the bhikkhu, Buddha’s follower should wallow not in proffered gifts, surrendering instead to solitude.

Liberation Through Discipline

ಒಬ್ಬ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದವನು ಈ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು, ಯಮ ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಒಬ್ಬ ನುರಿತವನು ಹೂವನ್ನು ಆರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ಧಮ್ಮವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿ
ಹೂವಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೇನುನೊಣದಂತೆ
ವರ್ಣ ಅಥವಾ ಪರಿಮಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾನಿಯು ಮಕರಂದವನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಹಾರಿಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಲಾಭ
ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ಬಹುಕಾಂತೀಯ ಹೂವಿನಂತೆ
ಅದ್ಭುತ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಹಿ ಪರಿಮಳಯುಕ್ತ,
ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ವರ್ತಿಸುವವನ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಮಾತುಗಳು ತುಂಬಾ ಫಲಪ್ರದವಾಗಿವೆ.
ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಅರ್ಹತೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು
ಹೂವುಗಳ ಸಮೂಹದಿಂದ
ಅನೇಕ ಮಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಹುದು, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮರ್ತ್ಯನಾಗಿ ಜನಿಸಿದವನಿಂದ
ಅನೇಕ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
ಪುಣ್ಯದ ಸುಗಂಧ ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಹರಡಿದೆ
ಹೂವುಗಳ ಸುಗಂಧವು ಗಾಳಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀಗಂಧದ ಮರವಾಗಿ, ಲ್ಯಾವೆಂಡರ್ನ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆಯಂತೆ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಸದ್ಗುಣದ ಸುಗಂಧವು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿರುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದರ ಗುಣ.
ಸದ್ಗುಣದ ಸುಗಂಧವು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮಧುರವಾದ ವಾಸನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ
ಶ್ರೀಗಂಧ ಅಥವಾ ಲ್ಯಾವೆಂಡರ್,
ಕಮಲ ಅಥವಾ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ,
ಈ ಅನೇಕ ಸುಗಂಧ
ಸದ್ಗುಣದ ಸುಗಂಧವು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸದ್ಗುಣದ ಸುಗಂಧವು ಸ್ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹರಡುತ್ತದೆ
ಲ್ಯಾವೆಂಡರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಗಂಧದ ಈ ಸುಗಂಧವು ದುರ್ಬಲವಾಗಿದೆ,
ಆದರೆ ಪುಣ್ಯವಂತರ ಪರಿಮಳ
ದೇವತೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಭವ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮೇಲೇರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸಾವು ಅರಹತ್ಗಳ ಹಾದಿಯನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ
ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಸದ್ಗುಣ ಹೊಂದಿರುವವರಲ್ಲಿ
ಯಾರು ಜಾಗರೂಕತೆಯಿಂದ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ,
ಅಂತಿಮ ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ
ಮಾರನಿಗೆ ಅವರ ದಾರಿ ತಿಳಿಯಲಾರದು.
ಕಸದ ರಾಶಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಕಮಲವು ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿದೆ
ಹೈರೋಡ್ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಂಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸ ಎಸೆದಿದ್ದಾರಂತೆ
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕಮಲದ ಅರಳಿ ಸುವಾಸನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಆನಂದವನ್ನು ಅರಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಅರಹತರು ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಹೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕಸ-ಜೀವಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ,
ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಮಾನವರು ಕುರುಡರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಬುದ್ಧನ ಶಿಷ್ಯ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಹೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರಿಂದ ಲಾಭ
ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತ ಆದರೂ
ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾಯಬಹುದು,
ತ್ವರಿತವಾಗಿ ಧಮ್ಮ ಅವರು ಸೂಪ್ನ ರುಚಿಯನ್ನು ನಾಲಿಗೆಯಂತೆ ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಸಂತೋಷದ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಗಳು
ಆದರೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಆ ಕಮ್ಮ
ಇದು ಯಾವುದೇ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪವನ್ನು ತರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅದರ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷದ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ವಿಮೋಚನೆಯ ಹಾದಿ
ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಾಪಂಚಿಕ ಲಾಭದ ದಾರಿ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ನಿಬ್ಬಾಣ. ಇದನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಭಿಕ್ಷು, ಬುದ್ಧನ ಅನುಯಾಯಿಗಳು ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡದೆ, ಏಕಾಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಶರಣಾಗಬೇಕು.
ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರ ಸಲಹೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಧಿ
ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ ಖಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ, ಗುಪ್ತವಾದ ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಬಯಲಿಗೆಳೆಯುವ ವಿವೇಕವುಳ್ಳ ಪುರುಷನು ಅಂತಹ ಋಷಿಯನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗೆ ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿಸುವಿಕೆಯು ಒಂದು ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಅವನತಿಯಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಸದ್ಗುಣಿಗಳು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಲಹೆಯನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ
ಅವನು ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಲಿ, ಅವನು ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವಮಾನದಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ. ಅವನು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಿಯ, ಅವನು ಸುಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯನಲ್ಲ.
ವರ್ಚುಯಸ್ ಕಂಪನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ
ದುಷ್ಟ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಾಡಬೇಡಿ, ರಾಕ್ಷಸರನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ಉದಾತ್ತ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಳೆಯಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಗ್ಯರು ಸಂಗಾತಿಯಾಗಿರಿ.
ಧಮ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಬದುಕುವುದು
ಯಾರು ಧಮ್ಮವನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಪಾದ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೋ ಅವರು ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಒಬ್ಬ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನು ಉದಾತ್ತರಿಂದ ಘೋಷಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಧಮ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
ವೈಸ್ ಕಂಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಅವರೇ
ನೀರಾವರಿದಾರರು ನೀರನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ,
ಫ್ಲೆಚರ್ಸ್ ಫ್ಯಾಶನ್ ಶಾಫ್ಟ್ಗಳು,
ಸೇರುವವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮರವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವಂತೆ
ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪಳಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರು ದೃಢವಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ
ಕೇವಲ ಪ್ರಬಲವಾದ ಬಂಡೆಯಂತೆ
ಗಾಳಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಚಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ
ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಅಥವಾ ಆಪಾದನೆಯಿಂದ.
ದಿ ವೈಸ್ ಆರ್ ಹ್ಯಾಪಿ
ಆಳವಿಲ್ಲದ ಸರೋವರವಾಗಿಯೂ,
