I. Observation of Kāya
A. Section on ānāpāna
Thus have I heard:
On one occasion, the Bhagavā was staying among the Kurus at Kammāsadhamma, a market town of the Kurus. There, he addressed the bhikkhus:
– Bhikkhus.
–
This, bhikkhus, is the path that leads to nothing but the purification
of beings, the overcoming of sorrow and lamentation, the disappearance
of dukkha-domanassa, the attainment of the right way, the realization of Nibbāna, that is to say the four satipaṭṭhānas.
Which four? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu dwells observing kāya in kāya, ātāpī
sampajāno, satimā, having given up abhijjhā-domanassa towards the world.
He dwells observing vedanā in vedanā, ātāpī sampajāno, satimā, having
given up abhijjhā-domanassa towards the world. He dwells observing citta
in citta, ātāpī sampajāno, satimā, having given up abhijjhā-domanassa
towards the world. He dwells observing dhamma·s in dhamma·s, ātāpī
sampajāno, satimā, having given up abhijjhā-domanassa towards the world.
நான் இவ்வாறு கேட்டிருக்கேன்:

Satipatthana Sutta (Discourse on the Foundations of Mindfulness)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMJzeV5uCdQ
How to do Meditation by Words of the Buddha
IMPORTANCE OF BREATHING Anapanasati Sutta (Buddhawajana)
The two main kinds of meditation the most people know are sitting and
walking, but Buddha said you can do meditation whenever you want, such
as, standing, sitting, walking or during your laying down, but the main
thing to think about to focus your mind on your breathing (your body).
When you are thinking wherther you are stading laying down or walking.
Most people think that you can only do meditation with one position,
but since sitting in one position would be harder there are other ways
to meditate too. Such a walking or laying down etc. More detail plase
follow the Video clips and my YouTube Channel.
For meditation,
the very important thing to always to remember is if you know your mind
is thinking, try to bring your focus back to your breathing. Whoever can
bring their focus back quickly, Buddha said they are the great
meditator.
If you don’t have time to Meditate
Many people
like the idea of meditation, but feel they don’t have enough time. When
you really want to do something you can find time. Get up earlier or
watch 30 minutes less TV. Meditation requires an investment of time, but
clearing the mind makes the the rest of the day more productive.
Nothing is better than the feeling of inner peace. What is the point in
being tremendously busy but unable to enjoy it? Meditation is not about
retreating from the world; it gives us inspiration. Whatever you do, if
you have peace of mind, your work will be more enjoyable and productive.
If you do not eat, you will not feel quite full.
SUTTAS OF THE BUDDHA
Breathing Meditation (Buddha’s Original Recipe)
Anapanasati is the word that the Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama) used to
describe his personal meditation technique. This word, in and of itself,
tells us everything we need to know in order to practice this technique
for ourselves.
In the ancient Indian language of Pali:
“Ana” means “Inhale”
“Pana” means “Exhale”
“Sati” means “Mindfulness” (or “Attention”)
Anapanasati Sutta
And how, bhikkhus, does a bhikkhu dwell perceiving again and again the body as just the body.
Here (in this teaching), bhikkhus, a bhikkhu having gone to the forest,
or to the foot of a tree, or to an empty, solitary place;
sits down cross-legged,
keeping his body erect, and directs his mindfulness (towards the object of mindfulness).
Then only with keen mindfulness he breathes in and only with keen mindfulness he breathes out.
Breathing in a long breath, he knows, “I breathe in a long breath”;
breathing out a long breath, he knows, “I breathe out a long breath”;
breathing in a short breath, he knows, “I breathe in a short breath”;
breathing out a short breath, he knows, “I breathe out a short breath”,
“Aware of the whole breath body, I shall breathe in”, thus he trains himself;
“Aware of the whole breath body, I shall breathe out”, thus he trains himself.
“Calming the process of breathing, I shall breathe in”, thus he trains himself;
“Calming the process of breathing, I shall breathe out”, thus he trains himself.
Just as, bhikkhus,
a skillful turner or a turner’s apprentice pulling a long pull (on the
string turning the lathe), knows, “I am pulling a long pull”;
pulling a short pull, knows, “I am pulling a short pull”,
just so, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu
breathing in a long breath, he knows, “I breathe in a long breath”; breathing out a long breath,
he knows, “I breathe out a long breath”;
breathing in a short breath, he knows, “I breathe in a short breath”;
breathing out a short breath, he knows, “I breathe out a short breath”
“Aware of the whole breath body, I shall breathe in”, thus he trains himself;
“Aware of the whole breath body, I shall breathe out”, thus he trains himself.
“Calming the process of breathing, I shall breathe in”, thus he trains himself;
“Calming the process of breathing, I shall breathe out”, thus he trains himself.”

The Four Times Should Follow Sutta
Bhikkhus, these four times, rightly developed and coordinated, gradually culminate in the destruction of the taints. What four?
The time for listening to the Dhamma, Kalena dhammassavanam,
the time for discussing the Dhumma, kalena dhammassakaccha,
the time for serenity, kalenna sammasana,
and the time for insight, kalna vipassana.
These four times, rightly developed and coordinated, gradually culminate in the destruction of the taints.

MN 10 The Foundations of Mindfulness - Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta Part 1of2) Part 2 is on May 28, 2013
This is the most important discourse by the Buddha on the training of
mindfulness meditation, with particular attention given to developing
insight. The Buddha begins by declaring that the four foundations of
mindfulness are the direct path leading to the realization of Nibbāna.
He then gives detailed instructions on the four foundations: the
contemplation of the body, feelings, mind, and mind objects

The Way of Mindfulness -The Satipatthana Sutta
The Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta[1] (MN 10) (Sanskrit: Smṛtyupasthāna Sūtra
स्मृत्युपस्थान सूत्र, Chinese: 念處經; The Discourse on the Establishing of
Mindfulness) and the Mahāsatipaṭṭhāna Sutta[2] (DN 22) (The Great
Discourse on the Establishing of Mindfulness) are two of the most
important and widely studied discourses in the Pali Canon of Theravada
Buddhism, acting as the foundation for Buddhist
mindfulness meditation practice. A similar parallel sutra is found in
the Madhyama Āgama of the Sarvastivadin school, and has been embraced by
contemporary Mahayana practitioners such as Thich Nhat Hanh.[3]
These discourses (Pāli: sutta) provide a means for practicing
mindfulness in a variety of contexts and potentially continuously.
Famously, the Buddha declares at the beginning of this discourse: “This
is the direct way [Pāli: ekāyano … maggo],[4] monks, for the
purification of beings, for the overcoming of sorrow and lamentation,
for the extinguishing of suffering and grief, for walking on the path of
truth, for the realization of nibbāna….” (Vipassana Research
Institute, 1996, pp. 2, 3.)
